In 10-12" 3 gallon pots
t. diversifolia and
t. rotundifolia, as most online sources confuse and conflate the two.
TR is an annual with red to orange flowers that grows as a low to medium bush.
This is the true TD, a persistent, low maintenance perennial here in zone 9 and up. They grow from 10-20'+ tall, and sport bright yellow sunflowers starting in spring and into winter that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. This past winter, mine never stopped blooming. They can be cut down in winter or spring and grow back fuller, more beautiful, and taller than ever. The leaves and stems make outstanding chop-&-drop mulch, as they accumulate nutrients and break down very quickly, improving the soil. I use the leaves in compost tea. The leaves also make great rabbit forage, and probably other livestock. They are fast growing and carefree, drought-tolerant, requiring little care, no fertilizer, no irrigation once established, with no pest problems. TD improves surrounding soil. Overall, an excellent addition to the sustainable garden or food forest. TD is very popular in the Permaculture movement, at least here in FL where it grows as an easy perennial.
Plants range from 10" above soil line to almost waist-high, depending when I started them, and are priced accordingly. $10 - $15 each.
EDIT: 29 JULY
as requested, wholesale pricing:
$200 for all I have left ready to sell, which is currently at least 36 plants.
