Non-profit volunteer medical clinic is seeking a Medical Office Manager/Administrative Assistant to oversee daily operations and support our mission of providing free primary health care to qualified uninsured low-income residents in Volusia County.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day clinic operations
• Schedule appointments and answer phones
• Train and supervise administrative volunteers
• Maintain medical records (HIPAA compliant)
• Prepare reports and updates for the Board of Directors
• Assist with purchasing, grants, and policies/procedures
• Support safety and infection control standards
Professional & Communication Skills:
• Establish and maintain courteous, tactful, and professional relationships with patients, guests, medical staff, the public, co-workers, and external partners
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Maintain confidentiality; able to consult with appropriate personnel on matters requiring follow-up
Minimum Education:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Certificate in Office Management or Related Field Preferred
Qualifications:
• Medical office or healthcare management experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Passion for community service and nonprofit work
