I purchased this kit from a North Carolina drummer. He built it from a Gretsch Catalina Street Kit bass drum and two Pearl Decade toms, and had Precision Drums of New York rewrap the kit in black oyster pearl (the "Ringo" finish.) I'll post a link to the Gretsch Street kit for detail on the bass drum, which is unique in that the depth is variable.
What sets this apart from most micro kits, aside from the variable depth bass drum, is the toms. Instead of the usual 10" rack tom and 12 or 13 inch floor tom, the ones in this kit are 12 and 14 inches. Also note that the bass drum has regular wood hoops with black oyster pearl inlays instead of the original triple flange hoops that the Gretsch Street bass drum was originally configured.
The maple shells of the two toms put this kit in a class by itself when compared to a Ludwig Breakbeats kit, which is a common (and best selling) micro kit.
The kit I am offering includes the bass drum, a bass drum riser, two toms (with legs for the floor tom and mounts for the bass drum and rack tom.) No snare drum or other hardware is included. If you want to add a snare drum I can bundle in an almost new 5.5x14 Gretsch Brooklyn chrome over steel snare drum for an additional $300. Note that there is some rash on the bass drum batter side hoop from the riser.
